Maria Del Carmen Aguilera-Morales

Maria Del Carmen Aguilera-Morales, 53, of Gonzales, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020. She was born Sept. 17, 1967 in Moroleon, Guanajuato, Mexico, the daughter of Jose and Soledad Aguilera. She was employed by Kitchen Pride and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her parents: Jose and Soledad Aguilera of Mexico; husband: Carlos Ortiz of Gonzales; daughters: Anahi Ortiz and Maria Guadalupe Ortiz, both of Gonzales; son: Jean Carlos Ortiz of Gonzales; sisters: Leticia and Yazmin Aguilera, both of Mexico; brothers: Jesus Aguilera Morales of Mexico, Juan and Leonardo Aguilera, both of Nashville, Tenn.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14 with the Rosary beginning at 7 p.m. at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church with Reverend Jason Martini officiating.

Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity and the use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation and the Memorial Mass.
