Mary Finch Ehler

Graveside services for Mary Finch Ehler, 87, of Lufkin, will be held Tuesday, May 21, at 10 a.m. at Sand Flat Cemetery.

Mrs. Ehler was born Jan. 22, 1932 in Gonzales, Texas, the daughter of Edwin Malatek and Frances (Zella) Malatek, and died Saturday, May 18 in Lufkin.

Mrs. Ehler was of Catholic Faith. She loved working in her garden and loved her fur babies, especially Patty. Mrs. Ehler loved the farm life.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Traciel Parker of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Alma Finch of Lufkin; son, Ronnie Finch of Pollok; five grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; siblings, Betty Tieken and husband Harold, Ruby Shaver, Barbara Vanek, Edwin (Bib) Malatek and wife Jeanette, Raymond Malatek and wife Pam, all of Gonzales, TX; sister-in-law, Paulette Malatek of Gonzales, TX; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Mrs. Ehler was preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Edwin A. Malatek; brother, Sonny (Skinny) Malatek; brother-in-law, Floyd Shaver; first husband, Charles Finch; second husband, Bennie Ehler; and grandson, Jason Finch.
