Maryjane “Midge” Gonzales

Maryjane “Midge” Gonzales, 51, of Seguin, formerly of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016. She was born December 14, 1964 in Gonzales. She was a member of the Gonzales High School Graduating Class of 1983.

She enjoyed fishing, camping and loved to spend time at her favorite place, the beach. She attended St. Phillip’s College in San Antonio and graduated in 2008 with a degree in Welding Technology. She worked as a welder with Caterpillar. Maryjane loved music, especially the blues and her favorite musician Stevie Ray Vaughan. She enjoyed backroading in Gonzales and decorating for Halloween and Christmas. She was the backbone of her family, her caring and attention to her son, mother and sisters was her main concern. She loved life and was a fighter and never gave up on any goal.

She is survived by her son Joseph Gonzales and wife Kimberly of New Braunfels; mother Maria Gonzales of Gonzales; sisters Betty Jo Reyna and husband Alberto, Rebecca Rosas and Maria Christina Gonzales all of Gonzales. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews., and her special friend. She was preceded in death by her sisters Pauline Gonzales, Josephine Cantu and Cynthia Gonzales. Memorial services will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
