Michael Andrew Meneley, the 5th child of John Nixon and Henrietta Meneley, was born on 23 October 1946 at 10:45 a.m. in the Holmes Hospital in Gonzales, Texas, and died of pancreatic cancer on June 19, 2020 in Missouri City, Texas.

He spent his childhood in Gonzales where he played Little League baseball, attended the local schools, and served as an altar boy at St. James Catholic Church.

In 1961, he, along with his brother Johnny, were both students at the Holy Family Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri when their brother Richard died. After Richard's funeral, Johnny went back to the seminary, but Michael remained in Texas. He attended St. Joseph High School in Victoria, Texas, graduating in 1964.

He attended the Hermann Hospital School of Medical Technology in Houston where he received his B. S. Degree as a Lab Technician in 1969 and was named "Student of the Year" by the college.

On 1 June 1968, he married Marjorie Ann Wearden in Victoria, and on 2 January 1970, he was inducted into the army. That same year in June, his daughter Elise Michele, was born.

Michael was stationed at Fort Sam Houston, Texas until being sent to Japan where their son, Richard Bryan, was born on 4 May 1972.

After he exited the army in December 1972, he enrolled in the School of Pharmacy at the University of Houston. During this time, he attended classes during the week and, on weekends, worked a full 40 hours to support his family. He received his degree in Pharmacy in 1977.

He was a kind and loving person with a great sense of humor. He loved a good joke, movies, and listening to songs by his favorite artist, Patsy Cline. He also enjoyed working on his Mustang cars and maintaining his yard and garden.

He and Marjorie enjoyed a beautiful life until health issues began to set in. It was a long and difficult road with many struggles, but in that journey he showed great strength.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; daughter Michele and husband, Jason Bray; son Richard B. Meneley; and grandchildren, Karissa and Justin Bray, Michael and Marshall Meneley. Also surviving are sisters, Jeanne Boothe and husband Bob, Susan Ainsworth, Karen Hoffman, and brother John Meneley and wife Theresa. He also leaves to mourn his passing several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents John and Henrietta Meneley; grandparents Henry J. and Susanna Butschek, Sion and Josephine Meneley; brother Richard Henry Meneley; brothers-in-law David B. Walshak, A. G. Ainsworth, Ken Hoffman; and nephews, Robert Remschel, Jr., Jonathan Dewberry, and Will Wearden.
