Michael Ray Winegeart, 63, of Gonzales, passed away Friday, May 6, 2016.  He was born June 26, 1952 in San Antonio the son of Archie Perry Winegeart Sr. and Catherine Marie Breiten Burell.  He was a 1970 graduate of Gonzales High School and attended TSTI in Waco.  He was a career welder and worked for many years in the oilfield and later in construction.  He enjoyed fishing at the Guadalupe River and golfing.  He was an animal lover, broke horses and raised cattle on the family ranch. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros fan.  His love of sports was passed on to his best friend and beloved grandson Dylan, he attended all of his games and was his biggest fan.  He is survived by his mother Catherine Winegeart of Gonzales; daughter Felicia Kay Cantu and husband Steve of Gonzales; grandson Dylan Cantu of Gonzales; Step-daughter Sarah Hatfield of Huntington Beach, California; step-grandchildren Madison and Mikalyn Hatfield of Huntington Beach; sisters Billie Jo Bundrant and husband James of Killeen, Claudia Morris and husband Perry of Cuero and Sarah Rush and husband Tracy of Victoria; brothers Ronny Raburn and wife June of Alburquerque, N.M. and Archie Perry Winegeart Jr. and wife Kathy of Gonzales.  Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father and his brother Tommy Raburn.  Memorial services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Reverend Steve Faulkner officiating.  Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. Sunday.  Honorary pallbearers include Kasey Morris, Jeremy Galindo, Joe Ortiz, Dustin Ogg, Troy Ogg, Donell Gray, Dawson Brooks and Ty Brooks.
