New athletic director to host meet and greet

Parents and students are invited to stop by Gonzales High School’s student center on Monday, March 18, to meet and greet with newly hired athletic director and head football coach Michael Waldie.

The meet and greet will start at 6 p.m.

Waldie served as athletic director and head football coach in Daingerfield, Woodville and Luling with a record of 33-31 in the six seasons he’s been a head coach. He was most recently the offensive coordinator at Class 6A Pearland ISD where the team went 10-0 as undefeated district champions, losing in the bi-district round to Dickinson.
