Pedro DeLuna, Jr., 52, of Gonzales, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Northeast Methodist Hospital in Live Oak, Texas.

Funeral Mass is under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 2:30 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gonzales, Texas with Father Paul Raaz officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Deacon Terry Brennan officiating.

Pedro was born on April 24, 1964 in Gonzales, Texas. He was the son of Pedro and Refugia (Deleon) DeLuna. He graduated from High School in 1982. Pedro met Mary Lou Canales on November 1, 1996, and they have been together ever since. Pedro liked listening to Tejano Music while he was cooking his BBQ for family and friends or a benefit to help someone in need. Pedro had a big heart and loved all. He liked to go driving and dancing. He always wore one of his many Fedora hats when going out. He enjoyed his 12 oz. beverages, and loved his cat (Lazy).

Pedro is survived by his father, Pedro DeLuna, Sr. and his wife, Elisa of Gonzales, Texas, Mary Lou DeLuna, his loving wife of 20 years, one son; Pedro “PJ” DeLuna, III of Gonzales, Texas, two daughters; Alyssa Danielle DeLuna of Gonzales, Texas, Aimee Nicole DeLuna of Gonzales, Texas, one brother; Elojio DeLuna, Sr. and his significant other, Donna Cimental of Gonzales, Texas, three sisters; Rose Marie Estrada and her husband, Eddie of Gonzales, Texas, Sylvia Mendoza and her husband, Arthur of Schulenburg, Texas, and Jane Escobedo and her husband, Mario of Gonzales, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother; Refugia DeLuna.

Pallbearers for Mr. DeLuna will be; Joe Angel Riojas, Sammie Cantu, Sr., Vance Cantu, Dell Harper, Rudy Sanchez, and Anthony Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers will be; Nieces, Nephews, and his beloved cat, “Lazy”
