I want to commend Terry Fitzwater for his outstanding coverage of the recent Boomers Catfish Tournament held in honor of Alvis Malatek. In adverse Spring conditions, he did a great job of recognizing all the teams who participated. His efforts went above and beyond all previous coverage by making sure all the teams who weighed in were recognized in the 12 April issue of the Gonzales Inquirer. I say this because in previous tournaments only the winners pictures made the paper. Everyone who participated and donated are "winners" regardless of how many fish they caught. They all work hard catching bait, setting lines, keeping their catch alive and releasing those live fish back to the river after weigh-in to be caught again. The money raised from this tournament has and will continue to help the bright young people of Gonzales with their college education. Again I want to thank Terry along with Pete and LeeAnn for making this one of the best fishing tournaments in Texas. Looking forward to next year!
