Regal Custom Park Model Homes are built in a 22,000 square-foot facility in Gonzales serving clientele in the Texas region. Regal employs local folks (craftsmen) to build their quality products. Their custom homes are energy efficient and environmentally friendly.

CEO Melvin Sanders stated that Regal Custom Park Model Homes are very unique and perhaps the only company in the United States using the type of construction methods being employed. The floors, walls and roof are build using insulated metal panes. The exterior finish of the panels have a 50-plus-year life and never needs painting or refinishing. Any wood products used for trim, etc., is treated lumber which is back painted and finished painted with a lifetime paint which is guaranteed for more than 50 years.

Mr. Sanders, with over 50 years of construction experience building homes, apartments and hotels, believes that their type of construction with insulated metal panels are the most innovative way for new home construction. Insulated metal panels are what refrigerated cooler warehouses and freezers are built with commercially. He believes that, “so why not apply this technology for residential use”

Insulated metal panels are manufactured in different thicknesses and filled with a type of Styrofoam filling, which provides the optimum and highest R-Value. As someone said recently, their insulated metal panel homes can literally be heated with a candle and cooled with a fan. The energy efficiency of the homes are second to none. The joins of the panels are interlocking.

The interior finish is sheetrock, drywalled and painted with a cathedral ceiling. Every home has full-size refrigerators, ranges, microwaves, stackable washer and dryer, cabinets and vanities, 48-inch showers and additionally two tankless water heaters. The exterior has a large front porch.

Often people ask, “what are park model homes?” or “what is the difference between a tiny home and a park model home?” Quite frankly, tiny homes are not “homes.” Park model homes have full-sized kitchens and baths without sacrificing quality. Therefore, one is not compromising the comforts of their personal home for trailer-type products as used in tiny homes. Also, tiny homes are 8 feet wide where park model homes are 12-15 feet wide. If the park model is less than 12 feet wide, the home can be towed down the highway without an escort (pilot car).
