Reid Yackel is a 2020 graduate of Shiner St. Paul High School.

Honors Reid is an Eagle Scout, a member of the National Honor Society, a Texas Boys State delegate, a Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership delegate, and a Rocco C. Caffarelli Scholar. Reid is also a Red Honor Cord recipient from the South Texas Blood and Tissue Center. Reid will be attending Texas State University in the fall, majoring in Business Administration/Marketing.

Activities Reid has been very involved during his high school years. Reid was an active member of the St. Paul Student Council , part of the St. Paul Leadership Team, and a coach for Special Olympics. Reid served on mission teams locally, statewide, nationally, and internationally throughout high school. He is also an active member in his church as an altar server and as a leader of the youth ministry team. Reid was involved in Scouting, FCA, ClubMed, and 4-H during his high school years.

Sports Reid played football, basketball, baseball, and ran track in high school. He earned two state titles during high school; one in football and one in track. He has also received awards for Academic All-State Baseball and Academic All-State Track and Field.
