Reka R. Rhoades

Reka R. Rhoades, age 95, of Seguin, passed away December 4, 2016. She was born December 23, 1920 in Wilson County, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen and Mary Jane Wilkinson Robbins; her husband, John William Rhoades on November 25, 1969; four sons: Jimmy Robert Wessels, Herman Allen Wessels, Buddy Rhoades, and Johnny Rhoades; a granddaughter, Jackie Ann Rhoades; four brothers: Otto Henry Robbins, John Robbins, Lloyd Robbins, and Morris Robbins; and a sister, Ruby Tumlinson. Reka is survived by her son, Jackie Rhoades; three daughters: Evelyn Doege, Jane Parks, Johnnie Lee Quinney; ten grandchildren: Darla, Toby, Lana, Teresa, Tammy, Tiffany, Dwayne, Jay, Dallas and Shelly; nineteen great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as other loving family and many friends.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Finch Funeral Chapel in Nixon. The Funeral Service will be held Thursday, December 8, 2016 at 10:00 AM at Finch Chapel with the Rev. Michael Cowey and Rev. Clint Lowery officiating. Burial will follow in the Caraway Cemetery.
