Retail gas prices drop across Texas

Gonzales prices remain steady

GONZALES — Gasoline prices in Texas have fallen 2.4 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.34 per gallon on Monday, Feb. 12.

This compares with the national average that has fallen 3.5 cents per gallon in the last week to $2.57 per gallon according to gasoline price website GasBuddy.com.

In Gonzales gas prices were: $2.17 at Texaco; $2.19 per gallon at H.E.B. and Walmart; $2.20 at Buc-ee’s; and $2.25 at Circle K and Corner Store.

Including the change in gas prices in Texas during the past week, prices Monday were 26.1 cents per gallon higher than the same day one year ago and are 6.7 cents per gallon higher than a month ago.

The national average has increased 3.7 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 29.4 cents per gallon higher than this day one year ago.

According historical data, gasoline prices on February 12 in Texas have ranged widely over the last five years: $2.08 per gallon in 2017, $1.51 per gallon in 2016, $2.06 per gallon in 2015, $3.12 per gallon in 2014 and $3.41 per gallon in 2013.
