Rhonda Sue Mercer Cook

Rhonda Sue Mercer Cook, 53, of Gonzales, died April 20, 2016 at  GRMC in Seguin. She was born on Dec. 13, 1962 to Horace and Sylvia mercer of Gonzales.

She graduated Gonzales High School in 1981 then continued further education at TSTI in Waco. She was a registered veterinary technician and worked in Austin and later in life she worked at the Gonzales Livestock Market. She was a member of the Odd Fellows and served as noble grand for two years.

Rhonda was very outgoing and often considered the life of the party. She enjoyed traveling

and as a child she loved to fish and play with her cousins and many family friends at the river bottom.

She is survived by her Daughter Elizabeth Cook of Gonzales; parents, Horace and Sylvia Mercer of Gonzales; brother, Gene; sister-in-law, Vicki Goodwin Mercer and niece and nephew, Taylor and Heath Mercer of New Braunfels. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Erica Nicole Mercer.

Her celebration of life will be held at the Elks Lodge on May 15 from 2-5 p.m.
