Richard Wagner “Dick” Roessler III

Richard Wagner “Dick” Roessler III, 65, of Waelder, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born Nov. 19, 1953 in Houston, the son of Richard W. Jr. and Martha Gibson Roessler. He attended the University of Texas-Austin and received his BBA in 1977. He married Holly Lynn Pumphrey on June 28, 1980 in Fort Worth.

He was a long time CPA and later worked as an accountant for the Carlton Case Company in Austin. He enjoyed barbecuing, reading history, road trips with friends and sitting on the deck listening to music. He was an avid Texas Longhorn fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends especially time with his best friend his cousin, Brad.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years Holly Roessler; daughter, Whitney Roessler Campos and husband Carlos of Round Rock; son, Mitchell Roessler of Houston; granddaughter, Ryley Roessler of Round Rock; sister, Elizabeth Roessler June and husband Toby of Austin and brother Andrew Roessler Sr. and wife Helen of Houston. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Dick’s life will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 16 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home 906 St. Paul Street, Gonzales.
