Robert Glenn “Bobby” Burns, age 73 of McQueeney, passed away on April 18.

Visitation will begin on Saturday, April 22 at 9 a.m. at First Baptist Church followed by funeral services at 10 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Brice Mandaville officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Dugger Cemetery.

Bobby was born in Seguin, Texas on June 11, 1943 to Price W. and Lottie Nell (Emmons) Burns. He was a graduate of Seguin High School Class of 1961. After graduating, Bobby enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during Vietnam. Bobby left the Army in 1965 and spent the next 29 years at Fort Sam Houston in Civil Service.

Away from work, Bobby’s major passion was music; he was a guitarist in several award winning bands.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Melinda Novello and husband, Frank; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Michelle and Nathan Price Mannis; step-grandchildren, Vinny and Gabriella Novello; his beloved boxer companion, Freyea; as well as numerous other family members and many friends.
