Rodney Parker Boyett

Rodney Parker Boyett, 50, of San Marcos, formerly of Leesville, passed away on July 6, 2016. Graveside services and interment were held on Saturday, July 9 at 1 p.m. at the Bryan City Cemetery, 1309 N. Texas Ave. in Bryan with Rev. Steve Trevino officiating. 

Rodney was born on July 22, 1965 in Nixon to William Charles Boyett, Sr. and Genelda Lee Harris Boyett Johnston. He was a member of the last Nixon High School graduating class of 1983, now known as Nixon-Smiley High School. 

Rodney is preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” C. Boyett, Sr., and his grandparents, Lucy Davis, Alton Boyett, Elinor Harris Jordan and Britton Harris. Survivors include his mother, Genelda “Jenny” Johnston and husband Emerson; siblings, William “Bill” Boyett, Jr. and wife Denise, Butch Pullin and wife Claudia, Rocky Pullin and wife Sandy, and Pam Harvey and husband Morris; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces , nephews, cousins, other loving family members and many friends.
