Roel Cardenas Flores Sr.

Roel Cardenas Flores Sr., 50, of Round Rock, formerly of Gonzales, passed away Sunday, Feb. 11. He was born March 25, 1967 in Gonzales, the son of Refugio and Paulita Cardenas Flores.

He was a 1986 graduate of Gonzales High School and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was a store manager for E & R Supply Company in Austin for the last 5 years.

He is survived by son Roel C. Flores Jr.; daughter Jessica Fernandez both of Round Rock; sisters: Rita Flores of Round Rock, Linda Ramos of Gonzales, Rosalva Flores of San Marcos and Rebecca Flores of Round Rock; brothers: Richard Flores of Round Rock, Refugio Flores Jr. of Bryan and Ralph Flores and wife Vicky of Austin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Ruben Flores and Reynaldo Flores Sr. Visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 16 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. The rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 17 at St. James Catholic Church with Reverend Paul Raaz officiating. Interment will follow at the St. James Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers include Reynaldo Flores Jr., Rudy Saldana, Albert Aguerro, John Vera, Josh Vera, Christopher Joe Ramos, David Munoz and Jonathan Ramos. Arrangements under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales.
