Rose Mae Caad Taylor

Rose Mae Caad Taylor was the first born to Calvin and Ora Mae Hunt Caad on Jan. 21, 1939 in Gonzales, Texas. She professed her life to Christ at an early age at New Birth Baptist Church in Kingsbury, Texas. She was united in holy matrimony to Joe D. Taylor, Sr. on April 21, 1956. To their union, eight children were born.

Rosie Mae was an active member of New Birth Baptist Church and served as secretary and choir member. She started and planned the annual Christmas program, paving the way for other community Christmas programs in the area. She was the leading example of what a Christian should be to her family and all that knew her.

Rosie answered her Father’s call on Saturday, Jan. 28.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Joe D. Taylor; a daughter Glenda Jean Taylor; a grandson, Steven Earl Taylor Coe; a granddaughter, Adrian Taylor and a sister, Carla Ann Caad.

Forever cherishing her loving memory are sons, Melvin (Lechrisha) Taylor; Charles D. (Mandy) Taylor; Joe D. Taylor, Jr.; Alfred James (Chandra) Taylor; daughters; Barbara Pitts, Gloria (Steven) Coe, and Ella (Donnie) Sanders; and five sisters, Ora Lee Caad, Joyce Caad, Darlene Caad, Janice McGararity, Melanie Stewart; and two brothers, Calvin and David. She is blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, two nephews and many friends. She will be greatly missed but not forgotten.
