Ruby Ella McFarland

Ruby Ella McFarland, 92, of Waelder, passed away Monday, June 5. She was born March 15, 1925 in Georgetown the daughter of Alfred and Ella Haas Wolbrueck. She married Calvin Frederick McFarland March 15, 1953 in Walburg, Texas. She was a homemaker and was a resident of Austin from 1956 until 2011. She was a member of the Faith Lutheran Church in Austin. She enjoyed puzzle books, word search and keeping up with her favorite soap operas. She enjoyed working in her yard but most of all she loved time spent with her grandsons and great-granddaughters.

She is survived by her daughter Elaine Monaghan of Flatonia; son Wayne McFarland and wife Virginia of Liberty Hill; grandson Michael Monaghan and wife Stephanie of Liberty Hill and great-granddaughters Ashlyn & Kinley Monaghan. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Alfred “Al” Wolbrueck and grandson Jason Waight.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 9 at the funeral home. Interment will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Cook-Walden Capital Park Cemetery in Pflugerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to D.P.S.O.A. 5821 Airport Blvd, Austin, TX 78752.
