Sept. 30 deadline for Virtual Art Show entries

The Gonzales Art Group will hold a Virtual Art Show in place of its regular show, as it was canceled along with the annual Come and Take It celebration.

The show will be open to artists of all ages and mediums. Entrants should submit good clear pictures of their artwork, with one entry per photo. These photos will be used in the show and for judging purposes.

Entries for adults should be framed unless it is painted on a gallery canvas. Please include first and last name, title of entry, category of entry, and address. There will be a limit of eight entries per artist, with a maximum of three entries per category.

The show will be free to enter and there will be no cash awards this year. Entries will be judged Oct. 2, and results will be posted online. Ribbons will be sent by mail to the award winners.

Adult Categories are defined by medium. All work must be original, not from a kit, no nudes or distasteful art:

Oil

Acrylic

• Watercolor

Pastel/Charcoal

Pen, Pencil, Ink

Sculpture, Pottery, Stained Glass

• Mixed Media

• Weavings, Textiles

• Alternative Art

• Photography

Student categories are defined by age and grade: Prek, K-1, 2-3, 4-5, 6-8, 9-12.

Student entries may be matted or attached to poster board. Any size artwork may be submitted through photograph. Please attach a card in a separate photo with your entry with first and last name, title of Entry, age or grade, and school. Ribbons awarded will be sent to the schools.
