Shiner’s Christmas in the Park returns Thursday

For its 21^st year, the Shiner Chamber of Commerce and Historic Old Town Shiner hosted Christmas in the Park event returns 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 5 at Welhausen Park. The annual Christmas celebration promises holiday music performed by local choir and bands, seasonal treats and festive lights.

Santa Claus is also scheduled to make an appearance at the event. Santa will be escorted from the Shiner Fire Station to the park with the chamber’s royalty float.

Shiner businesses and organizations will be tabling for the Christmas Sampler which provides an opportunity for those groups to mingle with the community they serve. Additionally, there will be vendors selling various items as well.
