Sidonia Delores Miller

Sidonia Delores Miller, 80, of Waelder, passed away Monday, July 31. She was born February 8, 1937 in East Bernard, the daughter of John and Angeline Vacek Janis. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. She loved gardening and took care of the Community Garden in Waelder. One of her hobbies was taking care of “Rae Jay” her horse.

She is survived by her daughter Danette Cemino and husband John of Bryan; son Robert Svoboda and wife Maricela of Richmond; grandchildren Jessica Raye Fotenot and Chase Svoboda; sisters Angeline Grigar of East Bernard and Lillian Simmons of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Nicholas Miller Jr., sisters Marie Novasad, Claudia Konvicka and Bernadette Janis and brother Norbert Janis.

Memorial mass will be celebrated 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waelder with Reverend Paul Raaz officiating. Interment will follow at the Hopkinsville Masonic Cemetery in Waelder. Arrangements under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales.
