Softball support

Gonzales Athletic Department previously received contributions for a John Deere bunker rake to assist with the maintenance of the Gonzales Lady Apache softball field. The bunker rake assists with preparing the dirt for the field. The machine rakes the infield’s dirt while turning the dirt over to dry, which significantly improves drying time. This is helpful with rain and upcoming games. With the assistance of two local businesses, GVEC and Sage Capital Bank, the Lady Apache softball field is able to prepare for each game. GVEC’s donation of $4,500 and Sage Capital Bank’s donation of $1,000, along with the additional remaining funds provided by the girl’s softball activity account enabled the purchase the machine.
