The Gonzales noon Lions Club chapter was proud to dedicate its new Splash Pad park on Friday night. Over 50 people showed up to watch the Splash Pad turn the water on for the first time, and a couple of intrepid children made mad dashes through pad for about a half an hour. On Saturday, the pad was full of animated children as temperatures soared into upper 80s.
