Lady Apaches stay in playoff contention

The Gonzales Lady Apaches knocked off San Antonio Brooks Academy 58-11 last Friday, Jan. 11 to move to 4-2 in District 30-4A. Gonzales had a bye on Tuesday. They begin the second half of district on Friday as they travel to La Vernia to play the Lady Bears (6-1). In their first matchup, La Vernia edged out the Lady Apaches 57-42.

Gonzales girls soccer wins consolidation tournament

The Gonzales Lady Apaches won the consolidation tournament at Giddings over the weekend before losing 4-0 to Bandera on Tuesday. The team travels to Beeville for a non-distirct game next Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Luling opens district with 2 straight wins

Luling opened district play on Friday, Jan. 11 with a 69-43 victory over Karnes City. On Tuesday, they took on Stockdale, beating the Brahmas. The Eagles (2-0) travel to Nixon-Smiley (0-2) on Friday before hosting Yoakum (0-2) on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Lady Eagles split games, take 3rd place

The Lady Eagles took a 67-27 loss on the road against #8 Karnes City last Friday, Jan. 11. Luling hosted Stockdale on Tuesday, beating them 59-14. The Lady Eagles travel to Nixon-Smiley (1-3) on Friday before hosting Yoakum (1-3) on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Waelder dominates McDade

#12 Waelder moved to 4-1 in District 30-1A with a 74-29 victory over McDade. They travel to Dime Box (4-1) to take on the #13 Longhorns (4-1) this Friday before hosting Prairie Lea (0-5) on Tuesday, Jan. 22.

Lady Cats looking for district win

Waelder (0-6) continued their winless district streak, losing 21-19 against McDade last Friday, Jan. 11. The Lady Cats had a bye on Tuesday. They travel to Dime Box this Friday before hosting Prairie Lea on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
