Lady Apaches on early win streak

The Gonzales Lady Apaches have begun the season 3-1 after opening with a 44-42 loss to Shiner before beating Victoria St. Joseph 47-44, Yoakum 56-42 and then Jourdanton 54-42 the last few weeks. Gonzales travels to Lockhart for a 7 p.m. game next Tuesday, Dec. 3

Lady Cardinals lose close in non-district game

Shiner St. Paul lose 56-51 in a close game against the Yoakum lady Bulldogs on Monday. Rebecca Wagner was the leading scorer with 16 points, adding 12 rebounds, two assists, one block and seven steals to her stat line. Paige Brown had 15 points, four rebounds and six steals while Julianna Davis had seven points, two point and one steal.

Eagles continue win streak

The Luling Eagles are on a three-game winning streak, knocking off Waelder last Friday 48-47 and Yorktown on Monday 58-54. The Eagles had a road game on Tuesday, Nov. 26, but results were unavailable before press time. Luling hosts Universal City Randolph next Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7:30 pm.

Nixon-Smiley loses close

The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs lost 32-24 last Friday against UC Randolph. Nixon-Smiley was scheduled to face Dilley on Monday and Shiner on Tuesday, but results from the games were unavailable before press time. Nixon-Smiley is scheduled to host Shiner St. Paul next Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 6:15 p.m.

Luling overwhelms SA Cole

The Luling Lady Eagles blew out San Antonio Cole at home 45-13 last Tuesday, Nov. 19. Luling was scheduled to travel to Lampasas for an afternoon game on Tuesday, Nov. 26, but results were unavailable before press. Luling hosts Smithville next Tuesday, Dec. 3 for a 6:15 p.m. start.
