Lady Cardinals stay unbeaten in district
Shiner St. Paul won in four sets (25-21, 25-22, 18-25, 25-5) over Bulverde Bracken Christian. Stats include: Paige Brown six kills, three digs; Aspen Flach one kill, one dig; Trinity Garza one assist, four digs; Grace Irvin five kills, three blocks, 15 digs, two aces; Riley Johnson one kill, 13 digs, four aces; Hope Kapavik one kill, 12 digs; Gracey Novosad 11 kills, 14 digs, two aces; Delynn Pesek 16 kills, seven digs, two aces; Cameron Pesek three kills; Mallory Pokluda three kills, one assist, five digs; Christine Wagner three kills, two blocks, 46 assists, 16 digs
The JV team also won, (25-9, 25-22). Shiner St. Paul (4-0) take on Victoria Faith Academy Thursday on the road, then home against San Antonio St. Gerard on Tuesday, Oct. 16.

District 27-3A VB Wrap-up
The Nixon-Smiley Lady Mustangs lost in three sets, (25-16, 25-20, 25-18) to Stockdale on Friday, Oct. 5, then were swept by Luling on the road on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
Meanwhile, Luling lost in four sets to Yoakum, (25-17, 16-25, 25-22, 25-21).
Luling is fighting for a playoff spot as they are tied for fourth with Stockdale at 2-6. Nixon-Smiley is still in search of a district win with their 0-6 record.
