St. Paul shines at track meet

Shiner St. Paul traveled to Cuero for track meet on March 24, coming away with multiple medals.

The St. Paul JV Boys finished fifth overall with 76 points. Results include:

•Pole Vault – Will Knox first 11-0, Patrick Green second 9-6

•Shot Put – Weston Geiger third 38-3 ½

•Discus – Weston Geiger fourth 118-0, Cole Brown fifth 106-2

•Triple Jump – Patrick Green third 37-9 ½

•Long Jump – Zach Davis fifth 18-0 ½

•High Jump – Will Knox second 5-8

•100 M – Zach Davis first 12.12

•800 M – Cade Davis third 2:16.97

•1600 M – Cade Davis third 5:21.89

•110 H – Patrick Green fifth 18.17

•300 H – Patrick Green fourth 45.38

•4x400 Relay – Gerard Nunez, Nathan Wagner, Andrew Wagner, Cade Davis sixth 3:58.14

St. Paul varsity boys finished eighth with 19 points. Results include:

•3200 M - Lane Jackson third 10:39.56, Walker Jackson sixth 10:43.19

•1600 M – Lane Jackson fourth 4:54.98

•800 M – Land Jackson second 2:07.69

On the girls side, Parker Clay took first in shot put with a 46-2 throw. She also took first in discuss with a distance of 122-2. Clay has had some recent success this season, competing in the Goliad Relays and setting a new meet record in the shot put with a distance of 46-11. She also won the discus with a throw of 121-11. Christine Wagner also won the JV girl’s shot with a put of 30-1
