Stella Mae Stevens

On the morning of April 28, 2016, Stella Mae Stevens (nee Vaughan) of Saturn, TX went to be with the Lord at the age of 83.

Stella was born on March 10, 1933 to the late Fletcher & Dollie Beaver Vaughan. She was the youngest of 5 siblings- 3 brothers and 1 sister. She grew up in Gonzales, TX and attended Eastside Baptist Church where she later was married to Dee Stevens of Ft. Bliss, TX. After marriage, Stella moved to Houston, TX, worked for several major oil companies, and started a family. Stella loved to quilt, cook, and enjoyed dancing during her younger years.

She is survived by her 3 children, David Stevens of Nashville, TX, Derek & Laura Stevens of Houston, TX and Robert & Sandra Zamora of Houston, TX. She had 13 grandchildren & 13 great-grandchildren. She was loved by many and will be forever missed.

The funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 in Seydler-Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Wilson officiating, she will be laid to rest in Saturn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The American Cancer Society or The Alzheimer's Foundation of America. Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.
