Theresa Jessie Wilke, 87, of Cost, passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018. She was born Dec. 31, 1930 in Gonzales, the daughter of Charlie and Lillie Rodriguez Tuch. She married Edgar Fritz Wilke Aug. 28, 1949 in Seguin. 

Theresa was a member of the Monthalia Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping and gardening, especially tending her flower gardens. She loved craft work, making Christmas ornaments and beadwork. She was a mentor to her children and grandchildren and was a loving and devoted “Farm Wife,” working side by side with her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen S. Glover and husband Michael of Cost; sons, Ed G. Wilke of Cost, William W. Wilke and wife Rebecca of Moulton, Allen R. Wilke and wife Sandy of Cost, Vernon L. Wilke and wife Christina of Cost and Andrew W. Wilke and wife Annet of College Station; grandchildren, Shelly Wilke of Houston, Kimberly Wilke Zuma and husband Frank of Buda, Brent Wilke and wife Ashley of Cost, Jason Wilke and wife Jenny of Castroville, Jamie Mastronardi and husband Mark of Newburgh, NY, Jacob Wilke and wife Robin of Cedar Park, Bethany Reddout and husband Ryan of College Station, Kara Wilke of College Station, Aaron Glover and Joshua Glover both of Cost; great-grandchildren, Garrett Zuma, Grayson Zuma, Kayden Wilke, Tristyn Wilke, Rocco Mastronardi, Conchetta C. “CiCi” Mastronardi and one great-grandchild on the way; brother, George Tuch; sisters, Mary Tuch and Linda Tuch. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Bret Wilke; brothers, Albert, Carlos “Pete” and Jimmy Tuch;  and sisters, Pauline Newman and Minnie Friedrich. 

Visitation was held from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 17 at the Monthaliia Methodist Church with Reverend Paul Smith officiating. Interment was at the Monthalia Methodist Cemetery. Pallbearers included Brent Wilke, Jacob Wilke, Aaron Glover, Joshua Glover, Frank Zuma and Ryan Reddout.  Honorary pallbearers included  Kim Wilke Zuma, Jamie Mastronardi, Bethany Reddout, Kara Wilke and Jason Wilke.  Arrangements are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home, Gonzales.
