Waelder announces all-district selections

The District 26-1A champion Waelder Lady Cats ended their season in the second round of playoffs on Nov. 3, and have now announced the athletes that made it to the all-district team.

The all-district team is named from the Conference 1A district between Waelder, Prairie Lea and Damon.

Brejhai Montgomery was named the MVP of the district. Named setter of the year was Ashlynn Noyola. Honesty Fields was named offensive player of the year while Ke’Shaya Moore was named defensive specialist of the year. Freshman Jakhia Thompson was named newcomer of the year.

Named to the first team all district were Malorie Puente and Laisha Rangel. Named to the second team was freshman Raven Rodriguez. Aquria Fields was honorably mentioned.
