Waelder duo selected for all-star game

Malorie Puente and Isaiah Ewing have both been selected to play in the “Lace ‘Em Up” all-star game on April 29 at 5:30 p.m. in Schulenburg. “Both were selected to be a part of the Orange team with other athletes from the surrounding districts,” Athletic Director Martha Zuniga said.

“Malorie was nominated based on her performance over the four years for Waelder and this year’s first team all-district. Isaiah was nominated based on his four year performance at Waelder and his overall leadership and honors this year. He was named an all-state player as well as first team all-district. Both seniors are excited to represent Waelder ISD at the inaugural Lace 'Em Up all-star game.”
