Walter Lynn Everett

Walter Lynn Everett, 70, of Los Fresnos, Texas passed away at his residence.

Funeral services are under the direction of Buffington Funeral Home in Gonzales, Texas and will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Buffington Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Dr. Chris Irving officiating. Interment will follow at Harwood Cemetery in Harwood, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, December 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Buffington Funeral Home.

Walter was born on August 21, 1946 in Clarksdale, Mississippi. He was the son of Walter Lee and Dolores (Moore) Everett. He married Linda Sue Tumlinson on November 30, 1968 in Arcadia, Texas at the Arcadia Baptist Church. Walter retired from the US Navy as a Flight Engineer after serving more than 20 years. Walter liked to go fishing and read sci-fi books. He built gaming computers and he would build his own firearms.

Survivors are his loving wife of years, Linda Everett, one son; Thomas Leigh Everett and his wife, Jennifer of Luling, Texas, one daughter; Sabrina Lynn Padilla and her husband, Rolando of Los Fresnos, Texas, three brothers; Thomas Edward Everett and his wife, Elaine of Texas City, Texas, Ronald Leigh Everett of Dickinson, Texas, John Allen Everett and his wife, Debbie of Ottine, Texas, two sisters; Paulette Spalding and her husband, Douglas of Dickenson, Texas, Pamela Grantz of Texas City, Texas, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Walter Lee and Dolores Everett French, one brother; Donald Everett.

Pallbearers for Mr. Everett will be; Rolando Padilla, John A, Everett, Jr., Chris Everett, Cory Everett, Jesse Everett, and Thomas Everett.
