Wildcat senior earns state recognition

WAELDER — The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC) recently released their all-state honors and Waelder Wildcat Tracy Moore was honored in both the all-regional team and the all-state team.

The senior guard was named to the Region IV-1A team for his accomplishments throughout the season. He was also named to the TABC all-state Class 1A team.

The District 30-1A honors were also announced as Moore was named district MVP.

Named to the first-team all-district were Justin Schilhab and Carlos Reyes. Josh Jones-Miller and Isaiah Ewing were both named to the second team.

The Wildcats finished the district in second place, reaching the Region IV-1A semifinals before losing to Laneville in the regional tournament.
