Beginning at a young age Billy help work the family ranch performing all the necessary chores in ranching along with picking and chopping cotton in the fields. Billy never shied away from hard work which he believed to be the core of independence and central to qualities in a man he revered; responsibility and accountability. He was always respectful and considerate of others. Billy was a sensibly private, soft spoken gentleman. He was an excellent fisherman and enjoyed bass fishing. Billy was genuinely health conscious as he always tried to eat well and exercise along with his wife Jimmie. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His gentle and compassionate nature, his work ethic and other principal beliefs will forever be cherished by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
