Agnes T. “MiMi” Irle

Agnes T. “MiMi” Irle, 84, of Gonzales, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022.  She was born March 23, 1938 in Gonzales the daughter of Eugene and Inez Zumwalt Fisher. 

 She was affectionately known as “MiMi” by the many children she babysat in her home throughout the years, a name given to her by her loving granddaughters which was picked up by all the kids who were cared for by her. 

 She was a dedicated San Antonio Spurs fan, loved to dance, especially waltz.  She was known as a fantastic cook, fried chicken, chicken and dumplings and her wonderful sugar cookies, most of all special Christmas cookies.  She was a lifelong member of the Memorial Heights Baptist Church and a docent with the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce.

She is survived by her granddaughters Michelle West and husband Ken and Brittanie Bailey all of Gonzales and her great-grandchildren Kaileigh, Taylor, David and Brayden West.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray Irle, daughter Martha Bailey, sister Bessie Cleveland and brother Robert Fisher.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 11 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home.  Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at the Slayden Cemetery with Reverend Clint Lowery officiating.
