Apaches fall to Jarrell on the road

The Gonzales Apaches’ football season came to an end Friday, Nov. 8 in their 49-7 loss to the Jarrell Cougars.

The Apaches finished their season with a 3-7 overall record and a 1-5 sixth-place finish in District 13-4A-2.

Gonzales had three players who rushed for more than 300 yards (David Clack III, Tyler Hoffman and Ayden Ramirez), according to Max Preps; Ramirez led the team with 10 rushing touchdowns and his longest run was 42 yards.

Brealien Jones led the team with 52 total tackles and senior Jermane Upshaw finished with 42 total tackles; Upshaw led the team with five tackles for losses, six sacks and two fumble recoveries.

Junior defensive Daevien Pitts led the team with four interceptions for the 2024 season.

The Apaches will be back on the football field for Fall 2025.
