Area teams make mark at annual Gonzales Relays

Last Saturday marked the official start to the Gonzales cross-country season with the Apaches hosting their now eighth annual Gonzales Relays at Independence Park. The race is set up to be a quick six-mile, three-person relay for varsity and a three-person, three-mile relay for the sub varsity races. 

Gonzales, Shiner St. Paul and Shiner High all left the marks, making their way to the top eight in both varsity races.

The Gonzales Apaches, the Shiner St. Paul Cardinals and the Shiner Comanches competed in the Apaches’ eighth annual Gonzales Relays at Independence Park last Saturday. The meet marked the official start to the cross-country for most teams including Gonzales.
