Aubrey J. Pullin

Aubrey J. Pullin, 74, of Gonzales, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020. He was born Sept. 26, 1946 in Gonzales the son of Denver and Madeline Cuvelier Pullin. He was a graduate of Gonzales High School and later served in Vietnam with the United States Army.

He was a foreman with the City of Gonzales Street Department and retired after many years of dedicated service. He was a rugged outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and any outdoor activity. He was a member of the American Legion, the National Rifle Association and the Eastside Baptist Church. Aubrey was known as a great storyteller, he loved to tell a good joke and never met a stranger. Most of all he loved time spent with his family.

He is survived by his daughters: Lisa Brady, Hannah Pullin and Kristina Vega (husband Dominic) all of Gonzales; sons: James Pullin (wife Krystal) of Gonzales, Jonathan Pullin (wife Krystl) of North Carolina; step-daughters: Jaime Goerlitz of Galveston and Bonnie Wirth of Austin; brother Franklin Pullin (wife Rosemary) of Kerrville; grandchildren: Phelix Falcon, Cameron Cardona (husband Heber), Mariah McBride, Isaac Kluting, Dominic Vega Jr., Matthew Pullin, Zander Kluting, Marcus Pullin, Elizabeth Kluting, Kendall Kluting, Julius Vega, Reagan Pullin and Wyatt Pullin; step-grandchildren: Grace Newman and Matthew Newman. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 at Seydler-Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 23, 2020 at the funeral home with Reverend Jesse Elizondo, Reverend Franklin Pullin and Reverend Robert Ramirez officiating. Interment will follow at the Woodmen of the World Cemetery with full military honors provided by the American Legion Post 177 of Luling.

Pallbearers include: Jonathan Pullin, James Pullin, Isaac Kluting, Zander Kluting, Dominic Vega Jr., Matthew Pullin, Marcus Pullin, Destry Kluting and Kenny Kluting. Honorary pallbearers are Harry Pettus, Jeff Pullin, Greg Pullin and Phelix Falcon.

Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the visitation, chapel service and graveside burial rite.
