Barbara Haynes Lott

Barbara Haynes Lott, 86, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born in Dewville, Texas, on July 31, 1935, to Pleman and Hazel (O’Neill) Wright. 

When she was very young, Barbara’s family moved to Leesville, Texas, where she spent a happy childhood among her large and loving family. 

Barbara married Robert Haynes in 1952 and they moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where they welcomed their two sons into the family. She studied Cosmetology, and after a move to Falfurrias, Texas, Barbara opened and operated Suburban Beauty Salon. 

Later in life, Barbara married Jack Lott, and they eventually settled back in their hometown of Leesville.  At home Barbara took pride in decorating her home and working in her yard. 

Barbara trusted in God and acknowledged Jesus as her Lord and Savior.  Many mornings she could be found sitting on her back deck - reading the bible and having a quiet time of prayer and reflection. Faith and family were very important to her.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jack. She is survived by her three sisters: Sharon (Jack) Shuford, Janie (James) Streety, and Hope Wagoner; two sons: Don (Becky) Haynes, and Daryl (Carrie) Haynes; stepson: Michael (Heather) Lott; four grandchildren: Matthew Haynes, Lindsey Carter, Madison Haynes, and Jesse Haynes; two step-grandchildren: Austin Lott, and Paige Lott; three great grandchildren: Kelli Haynes, Addison Reiber, and Avery Reiber; adopted daughter: Sandra (Bob) Borinstein and daughter, Hetty; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on November 6, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Leesville Baptist Church, Leesville, Texas.
