Beatrice Maree Moore O’Neill

Beatrice Maree Moore O’Neill, born to Mac McClellan Moore and Miram Edith Caraway Moore on Mar. 24, 1919, went to be the Lord on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2019. Beatrice lived 100 years, seven months and 12 days. She is survived by her three sons, Glen G. O’Neill of Yoakum, Texas, Hampton E. O’Neill (Ruth) of Ingleside, Texas and Michael T. O’Neill (Debbie) of Kingsville, Texas, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Beatrice O’Neill was born in Ottine, Gonzales County, Texas and died in Gonzales, Texas. She was an artist, author, homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Being a strong Christian, a Baptist by faith and a member of Leesville Baptist Church, she was known by many to be a steadfast prayer warrior.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Hampton Howell O’Neill, eldest son, Billy Mac O’Neill, daughter-in-law, Scarlett O’Neill, 2 grandsons, Dean O’Neill and Darren O’Neill, sisters, Coloma Williams, Edith Giffin, Helen Smith and a brother, Mac M. Moore, Jr.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019 in Dewville Cemetery with Michael O’Neill officiating.
