Bill Rob Miller and Judy Lee Miller were married in Smiley, Texas, on Sept. 5, 1964. Bill Rob departed this life on Saturday, April 27, at his home in Smiley at the age of 76 years. Judy departed this life on Sunday, April 28, in San Antonio at the age of 75 years.

Bill Rob was born in San Antonio, Texas on Feb. 2, 1943, and was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Miller and Alva Marie (Smith) Miller Cowey, his stepfather, James Cowey; and his sister, Annella Bell Egbert. He graduated from Southwest Texas State University in 1968 with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

Judy was born in Nixon, Texas on Oct. 14, 1943, and was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Clay Lee and Opal Fay Nichols Lee. She was a dedicated wife and a very loving mother and grandmother.

They are survived by their daughters: Lee Ann Caraway and husband Kevin, Casey Samford and husband Mark, Jamie Hurt and husband Travis; their grandchildren: Courtney Patteson and husband Jeffery, Connor Richter and husband D.J., Riley Samford, Case Samford, Reese Samford, Cooper Hurt, and Clay Tom Hurt; and their great-grandchildren: Briggs and Harper Patteson, and Rhett and Corlee Richter. Also surviving are Bill Rob’s brother, Mike Miller and his wife Lucy, brother-in-law, Tom Egbert; Judy’s sister, Patsy Hanks, and a niece, Lisa Barnick.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 2, 1-3:30 p.m., at Finch Funeral Chapel, Nixon, with a procession departing at 3:30 p.m. for the graveside service.
