Car thief apprehended in Gonzales

On June 6, two Gonzales police officers arrested Leslie Hastings, 31, for burglary of a motor vehicle. Investigators Jason Montoya and Victor Izaguirre were dispatched at around 9 a.m. to the 2400 block of Church Street in reference to man attempting to enter vehicles.
While in route to the location, Investigator Montoya saw Hastings and matched him to the description given by the caller. Hastings was identified as the perpetrator and was subsequently arrested.
According police, Hastings did complete a break in and stole property from inside a vehicle. Hastings was transported to Gonzales County Jail.
