Charles Fredrick “Fred” Beeson

Charles Fredrick “Fred” Beeson, age 81, of Seguin, Texas passed away Nov. 18, 2020. Fred was born Dec. 8, 1938 in Gonzales County to LaVell Rentz Beeson and Melvin Elisha Beeson.

Fred married the love of his life, Beverly Ann Neitsch Beeson, on June 17, 1960. Fred worked for S. Simmons, a wholesale grocery in San Antonio, was manager of Sanitary Creamery in Gonzales, and worked for Ferrell Gas Company in Gonzales.

He and Beverly enjoyed many trips across the U.S., touring Alaska and other places as well. Fred was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church. He was past president of the Gonzales Evening Lion’s Club in the 1970s. He loved woodworking, he built things for his sister-in-law, Tamra Ainsworth, and his daughters, Monica McNeil and Kassie Mays. Beverly was always coming up with some new ideas, shelves, bookcase, china cabinet and so on.

Fred was preceded in death by his parents; three 3 siblings: Melva Tate, baby boy Melvin Elisha Jr., and Betty Gandre.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years, Beverly; daughters Kassie Beeson Mays (husband Wayne), Monica Beeson McNeil (husband Donovan); grandchildren: Elizabeth Mays, Killian McNeil Hutchison (husband Nate) and Kenzie Beeson; brothers: Ray and Tim Beeson; sisters: Willie Ann Canion and Sandra Burleson; sister in law and brother in law: Tamra and Gary Ainsworth; and many nieces and nephews. Fred’s family would like to thank his caregiver, Catherine Smith.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 at the Hermann Son’s Cemetery with Reverend Paul Smith officiating. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.

Due to current CDC, State and local mandates, protective measures regarding social distancing, limited attendance capacity, and use of personal protective masks will be required for the graveside burial rite.  Services are under the care and direction of Seydler-Hill Funeral Home 906 St. Paul, Gonzales, Texas.
