Christie Soliz Neco, 51, of Gonzales, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 18,1973, in Gonzales, Texas.
Christie loved spending time with family and friends celebrating holidays. You would often see her chewing bubble gum or enjoying a snack, and an ice-cold drink while puffing on a Newport cigarette. She liked playing games, watching mukbang videos, and listening to her favorite reggaeton or bachata music on her phone. She loved to gamble and be out and about. She was quite the jokester and the life of the party. Christie was always strong-willed and direct. She definitely left an impression on those she met. Her grandkids, nieces, and nephews have special memories of her giving them treats when they would visit.
During her final days under hospice care many lasting memories were made with those who loved her most. She was happy, loved, and very spoiled. She defeated the odds and amazed all those around her with her strength and endurance. She was a fighter and outlasted everyone's expectations.
Christie is survived by husband Robert Neco; her children Kayla Soliz, Hope Soliz, Robert Soliz, and Whitley Quintero-Bonilla; grandchildren Peace Trevino, Wyatt Aguayo, Jace Hammond, and Jonathan Fullilove, Jr.; siblings Charla Claiborne, Lucy Martinez, and Jesse Campa; and her special babies Alexzavier and Arriyanna Martinez.
She was preceded in death by her loving mother Sylvia Soliz Fernandez and granddaughter Everly Hammond.
The family is following her wishes of a direct cremation with a gravesite service to be scheduled at a later date and would like to thank everyone for their condolences and prayers.
