City of Gonzales asks residents to limit travel

Following severe weather conditions, the City of Gonzales has issued a travel advisory. Gonzales City Manager Tim Patek shared an announcemnent witht the Inquirer Sunday afternoon.

"Due to the impending weather we are asking all residents to please avoid all travel beginning immediately until 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15," Patek said. "This advisory will be extended as needed. Please stay home & stay safe."

The city is also reporting that there is ice on bridges on Texas HWY 183 and Business 183 from the Roger M. Dreyer Municpal Airport to McCoy's. 

The city has also stated that power outages are possible, and asked that citizens be prepared in a statement to its Facebook page. To report ice on City streets, please contact 830-672-8686.
