Gonzales County Sheriff

Clay Allen (D)

I am running for Sheriff in the Democratic Primary. There are too many Republican Primary candidates. Republicans can vote for Trump in November. If you want me on the November ballot, vote in the Democratic Primary. This is my number: 210-391-6378. It will be my number when I am sheriff. If you want a sign, call me! If you want me to meet you or your group, call me.

The sheriff should be available 24/7 to any resident, to handle complaints and questions about my department. The sheriff supervises four divisions: law enforcement (patrol and investigations); Jail (most liability); civil process; and bailiff (court guards). I will add a 5th: Computer and Information Security and Fraud.

Change is coming to the Sheriff’s Department. My officers will cease to be “traffic cops.” I intend to reintroduce community relations and they will help. I taught investigations and ran that division of the Army school. I supervise my employees, but I don't do their job.

Am I qualified to supervise an armed agency that can take your life or your liberty? Retired Army Lieutenant Colonel and National Security Crime Investigator worldwide with 36 years of service. Former Chief Deputy of the Gonzales County Sheriff’s Department, including investigator, jailer, civil paper server and bailiff. I did it all. Former Nixon High School Science Teacher (and peace officer), Former JP in the Nixon-Smiley area, degrees in Chemistry and Computer Science, single father (most important), etc.

Do you think I am qualified? Visit clayallenforsheriff.com or contact clayallenforsheriff@gmail.com. As sheriff, when you call me, I will answer! 210-391-6378.
