County burn ban lifted

Gonzales County’s burn ban has been lifted. The 76-days-long burn ban was lifted by Gonzales County Judge Pat Davis on Oct. 31.

Davis cited recent rains in his public notice as a reason for rescinding the ban. He further urges citizens to “exercise extreme caution when burning is necessary.”

Of the counties surrounding Gonzales, only Wilson, Karnes, Fayette and Caldwell Counties have burn bans currently enacted.
