Crow hired as new Gonzales city manager

Posted

The search for a new Gonzales city manager came to an end during the Thursday, Dec. 8, Gonzales City Council meeting.

The council approved their new manager, unanimously, after reconvening from close sessions. The council at that time announced they would hire interim-City Manager/current Police Chief Tim Crow as the city’s new full-time city manager.

Crow was named interim-city manager in October after his predecessor Tim Patek resigned in September of this year to take the city administrator job in Wimberley, Texas.

Crow has served the community of Gonzales for more than 24 years and has been chief of police since 2003.

There is currently no information regarding who will replace Crow as the chief of GPD at this time.

In other business, the council approved two agenda items:

--approved a budget amendment to the operating budget for fiscal year Oct. 1, 2022 and ending Sept. 30, 2023 for the Gonzales Economic Development Fund for $325,000 in expenses.

--approved amending section 13.207 Meters (d) tampering with of the city Gonzales code ordinances.
