Gonzales County Commissioner Precinct #3

Daisy Scheske Freeman (R)

Posted

I am a sixth generation Gonzales County resident. My ancestors have been community leaders and served Gonzales County for over 150 years. I am proud graduate of GHS and with local scholarship support, I was able to obtain a bachelor’s from Texas State University. My work experiences have consisted of entry level, hourly jobs to management positions. This diverse experience has allowed me to not only understand the needs of employees, but the qualities needed to be a great manager. I've been married to my best friend, Chance Freeman, for four years. This is my seventh year as the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce Director. I’m also a member of the GADC, Pilot Club and DAR.

Honesty, integrity and open mindedness are my core values. I am able to listen to all sides of an argument before making a rational and fair decision. I always let people know where I stand on an issue, no matter how popular. When hearing the voices and concerns of Gonzales County residents, I strive to keep an open mind, be respectful and considerate of every opinion.

I come from a military family which instilled me with a strong sense of national and community service. I have always been involved in public service from an early age. My leadership skills, determination and ability to accomplish large scale projects with initiative, creativity and teamwork could benefit not only my precinct, but the county. It is important for an elected official to not only listen to the concerns of their constituents but to address those concerns while moving forward and planning for the future.

My goal is to build a successful team to develop the best possible government while still being affordable to the citizens. If elected, I look forward to working with the other commissioners and the county judge on ensuring that Gonzales County will be progressive in tackling the many challenges the future holds.
